Description

This new collection of Autopainter styles continue to amaze you with its impressive artificial inteligence to automatically paint your photos. This is not just a filter, it uses styles based on the works of worlds best known painters.

The first volume of AutoPainter featured mixed styles of oil and aquarell painting, the volume 2 focused on primarily illustration techniques and this new volume 3 revisits the impressionist and neoclassical styles.

✭Monet✭
Based on real Claude Monet painting style of broken color technique with intense palette to achieve sensation of light in a painting
Tip: This signature style works great for classical impressionistic scenes of landscapes with flowers and plants, lakes and its color reflections.

✭Camille✭
Inspired by: Jean.B. Camille Corot (1796 -1875) and Camille Pissarro (1830 - 1903)
Chunks of heavy paint mixed with patches of under-painted canvas borrows the style from Neo-Calssicism and early Impressionism
Tip: Works for landscapes and buildings, occasionally for people and animals.

✭d'Orcia✭
Inspired by: quick modern brush paintings
Follows Classical Impressionistic style with a modern twist and bright colors. This stile never gets old, and it is popular for paintings of both cities (Paris in rain) and countryside (endless iterations of Tuscany village theme).
Tip: This is a style that works best on large self-descriptive shapes. It loves green yellow and red and uses quick long strokes to hide details

✭Gogh 2✭
Inspired by: Van Gogh's Sunflower paintings
This high quality style shows one of the signature Van Gogh technique as seen in various Sunflower paintings even when looking at the brushstroke details.

Look at our other AutoPainter apps that feature additional painting techniques.

Note: This process is rather sophisticated and while we tried to do full resolution it was not stable due to high memory requirements. The current medium resolution of 1280 in longest size is a good compromise between quality and usability. It produces pretty great and sharp results because unlike a photo this is completely digitally created image - it has no noise and no Bayer approximation. If you are interested we have applications for desktop.

Great app, could be even better

I really like the effects in this app. I downloaded autopainter 1 and liked it so much I downloaded this one too. And it's awesome. There are three things that would make these apps better:

#1: it doesn't make sense to have to download three separate apps that all take up space. You should really set it up so that you can just buy new expansion packs rather than having to download another app with all the same functions. (and if you could set it up so that those who already bought the other apps still get them that would be great ;)

#2: Allow us to choose the output resolution. This way if we want to do a high resolution file we can still have it output at the same resolution. I don't mind waiting longer for a higher resolution image to process. Same goes if we want to make it smaller. This way we don't have to wait for as long of a load time if we only want a 500 pixel wide image to post on the web.

#3: Not as important as the other two, but would still be a great feature. It would be cool if we could select that it only do step 1 or 2 or 3 or a combination of two steps. There have been a couple of times when it finished step 2 and I'm like, "stop!! It looks perfect, this particular image looks better without step 3!" But there is no way to stop it or remove certain steps we want to leave out. This would be an awesome function.

Another Well done paint simulator

I have Auto Painter 1 and 2, and this is another that just knocks it out of the park. This app is fun to watch as it transforms photos into real, painterly works of art. The end result of the process is a surprisingly accurate representation of the artists they emulate.

I hope they do more, and explore different styles. I wonder if they could do cubism? I'd also love to see some chiaroscuro artists represented -- Rembrandt, maybe? Leonardo? And maybe something more primative -- Goya comes to mind....

Keep 'em coming!

Great addition to the app collection

I like this app and the previous 2 as it let's me explore variations to my photo treatments. Not every photo turns out but that's the charm of the discovery: which photo will turn out well on what style. I feel that even though the painting is automatic and I didn't brush a single stroke, I still took the photo so it is an original of mine.
