Simple and Great!
I had a bunch of AVCHD files from a camcorder that I wanted to convert to mp4 files to make them easier to distribute. The app does just what is says it does in a very simple and un-complicated fashion. Simply drag and drop the AVCHD on the app and select the output folder and start converting. The only feature I wish they would add would be a feature to combine all of the clips into a single mp4 file instead of individual files for each clip.
Saved my project! Awesome App!
My Canon Vixia wouldn't let me download the footage to Final Cut Pro X. I just downloaded the AVCHD file directly to my MacBook Pro and converted all footage to .mp4. Worked like a charm and just took a few minutes. Then uploaded the .mp4 files directly to Final Cut. A whole film shoot day saved! Highly recommend.
This totally didn't work
This bare bones product cannot properly convert the old Sanyo Xacti camcorder's MP4 file format, which pretty much every other system out their chokes on too.
For me, this software was a waste of money.
