This is not the Avengers game you are looking for.
To begin the pain that is Avengers Initiative, you must first understand what this is. It is a needy, expensive, rip-off.
It obviously wants to be Infinity Blade. You start as Hulk, following in nearly photocopied gameplay, and you earn in game currency which is necessary even to make your character able to survive for a single round. It is not as fluid as Infinity Blade. Also, there is a rather strong in-app purchase system. The costs for most items is ridiculous, far too much to justify their use. Also, in order to survive, you must either try to grind (I say this because it is rather hard to), or buy in game currency.
Then there's Captain America. You must pay for his missions. Either you have already played and saved up for him, or you have to shell out real money. For such an expensive game, this should not be.
The graphics are okay, but it is really quite dark.
Worst of all, we were promised they would add Iron Man and Thor. It has been almost a year since an update has even touched the App Store. Disappointingly, it does not appear we will be receiving these characters in any near future, if at all.
My point here, stay away from this game unless you want to play a dark, expensive, stripped down, and boring version of the far better Infinity Blade.
Lovin the game but...
Game's awesome. It's a lot like the pioneer of this type of gameplay; Infinity Blade so I'm enjoying it highly. I really don't mind grinding for ISO but the prices for things in this game seem a lil high priced (ISO-wise). I just started so maybe the ISO pickups and winnings increases throughout the gameplay like Infinity Blade did.
2 gripes so far:
1- Main reason why I took away two stars is because of the constant constant constant crashing.
2- I reached Iron Man Hulkbuster for the first time and he took me out in a few swipes. He was at lvl 25 while I was still @ lvl 7. A bit of an overkill if you ask me. I could dodge and deflect most of his attacks but being at lvl 7, it'd take me 30 minutes just to defeat the guy given the level gap between us.
I really hate to compare and contrast but try and take a tip from Infinity Blade to help get a feel about the level gaps between your character and enemies. Theirs had a really nice feel to it as your progressed thru the game to where it didn't make it seem too impossible to move on and level up.
Hopefully we can get the issue fixed ASAP so I can enjoy your game's full potential!!
This game is copy.
I like Avengers and this game, but I think this is copy of Infinity Blade series. Do you want to know why? Than play both game. Most of rules are same!!! Only several rules are different. Especially, when we fight, the location of buttons are similar and avoid, guard, defeat (my vocabulary can be wrong at this parts) , superpower is same with magic without name finally after we win the battle with enemy, we attack them more and make more score... It is exactly same with Infinity Blade series. Also when we move, we tab the blue circle on the screen. When we walk, there are points(iso-8) in the way. That's same with Infinity Blade series too! Only huge points which we should crash and took it and weapons are changed. Actually that's because they can not make weapons for Hulk and Captain America, because they left armor. Anyway play this two games. After that, you would understand why Avengers game is copy of Infinity Blade series. One thing you should know is I am not a worker for the company which made Infinity Blade series. I am just fan if Infinity Blade games. I want you to believe me. And I believe many Infinity Blade fan would know this. Thanks for reading all.
