The “Aviation Study Guide” App is your one-stop shop for the AH-64D/E, UH-60A/L, UH-60M, UH-72A, and CH-47F. This app includes over a dozen different Publications & Miscellaneous PDFs that you may view online or download and view offline.

Looking for some flash cards? We have over 800 flash cards for each aircraft, covering almost 20 different subjects. Our flash cards cover a wide variety of questions that can assist for general knowledge or that upcoming APART. There’s a dedicated “APART” study button that compiles all questions for your review. Our flash card interface will also allow you to review any questions you may have been unsure of at the end. Tired of looking at the same flash cards in the beginning? Click the Options menu and you can shuffle the cards to have variation each time you study.

This app will be updated regularly. If at any time there is a document that is not up to date, feel free to contact us and we will address the issue. Thank you!

What’s New

Version 4.3

This latest release enables the ability to hide flashcards that you have learned so that they no longer populate until you request them.
We’ve also added the ability to "pinch-to-zoom" so that you can click on the flashcard and it will show it full screen as well as allow you to zoom in and out for those lengthier flashcards.

Great study tool! When are the other aircraft coming out?

I recently just graduated the UH-60M course and my IP recommended this app to me during the course. It was very helpful getting me ready for my check rides! Now I’m getting ready to report to my first unit and I’m being told I will be flying Lakotas. If the Lakota section was made available it would help me get back up to speed since I haven’t flown it since primary. Is there a time we can expect that aircraft to be available?

Also, the only thing that I think would help improve the app is if you could incorporate a full list of the cards in each section before you actually start quizzing yourself. This way you can check off what cards you already know and focus on the flash cards you don’t know. So this is what I would envision step by step:
1. Open flash card section
2. Open EPs (just an example)
3. See a list of each EP flash card with the option to check or uncheck.
4. Each EP that is checked will be in the flash card quiz and cards not checked will be omitted.

Again I think this is a wonderful study tool and I will continue to recommend this to other aviators! Just a minor tweak with the cards and the addition of the last 2 aircraft will make this a perfect app.

Thanks!

Developer Response ,

Thanks for taking the time to write such an extensive review Rob.

Currently we will be releasing the Lakota and Echo model Apache March 18'!

Your Flashcard recommendation. I definitely agree that it would be helpful to dismiss certain cards that you don't have an issue with in order to prioritize your studying. Especially with the amount of information we must retain as Army Aviators. We are currently working on a new update to the APP and I'll discuss with my developers on the feasiblity of getting something similar to this in this update or into the next.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this and for your support of the app! Fly Safe and keep the recommendations coming!

Worth every cent!

I have been in Army Aviation for my entire Army career and flown in 5 different airframes (not counting the multiple models within those airframe groupings), so its been fantastic having this app where I can still “stay in the books” and study like I did back in flight school without having the massive stacks of notecards piled up around me. It’s made it so much easier to keep up with my aircraft knowledge and I don’t have to spend hours creating digital flashcard decks or pulling up each individual publication because all the work is already done for me. The app is easy to use and I like the APART feature under the flash cards section that mixes all the flash cards together and asks you questions at random (which is more realistic when it comes to evaluations). I also like the Publications library, because it allows for quick reference of various aviation publications (minus the -10, due to legal reasons). Plus, if you have any questions or comments at all, they are super responsive and are happy to address anything that comes up.

Overall, this app is fantastic and worth every penny. Awesome job guys and keep up the good work!

EDIT: Horrible without student handouts

EDIT: This app deserves a 1 star now.... all of the student handouts are gone and with no refund! That was the best part of the app. And one of the main reasons I purchased this. I logged on today to review before my flight and it’s all gone. Please refund me and I’ll delete this. For everyone else save your money and just google the publications you need or go on quizlet and look up the flash cards you need.

Simply put, this app is awesome. I’m transferring from the UH-60M to the A/L and haven’t studied A/L stuff in over 5 years. It has almost all topics and study guides/ flash cards and even has the single source sheet which I have been trying to find for weeks for the A/L. My biggest recommendation, or issue, is that the flash cards flip very slow which slows down studying. Then also I would much rather have the option to study the flash cards in a list so I can scroll through them quickly like they have it set up on quizlet if possible! It makes it hard to see the overall content being covered in the flash card sections. Overall, I would recommend this to any aviator at any progression level for a quick study reference and one stop shop for materials.

Developer Response ,

Ouch. 1 Star. That hurts! Here’s the deal, we HAD to delete the Student Handouts for security reasons. They have Disclosure Releases that we can not violate or can face some serious repercussions. Obviously this is a huge bummer but from a legal standpoint we had to do it. We are truly truly sorry for it.

Refund. You wanting a refund is completely justifiable. Unfortunately I personally can not issue refunds. They are all initiated and paid through Apple. Not the developer. This is something I can’t change.

Your original review raves about the convenience of the flashcards. They are still there and updated with changes. We still maintain Publications with public disclosure releases. We just don’t have the student handouts.

Thank you for your honesty and we hope you will still use the app at the very least to study for your 5&9 and silly no notice exams. Fly Safe Kyle.
