Avis Preferred members can also earn points by opting in upon check out. With the Avis app, you can make, modify or cancel reservations 24/7. Using the Avis app will also provide access to getting a receipt, viewing and reviewing past rentals and contacting Roadside Assistance for immediate help.

Horrible experience


Up until today Avis and the app have been pretty reliable. Today I went to book a car and the app said there was an error. Silly me I figured it was a glitch and proceeded to book the car again. In response to my several attempts I was Charged 3 separate times. The worse part is that when I went to rebook and verified with a live rep the price had doubled. It was fortunate that I took a screen shot because the only was the “manager” said he could adjust the rate was after I returned the car. So in one day I was charged 500 dollars for what started as a 64 dollar rental. Of course their response is, “they are just holds and will be released when you drop it off”

Writing this review in utter frustration. I was cheated by avis twice. Once i booked the car with my company’s discount coupon and the app showed that free miles available for me are infinite. When I returned the car, i was charged $ 0.25 for each mile.
Secondly, after 3 months of returning the car, avis deducted $199 on my credit card, without even letting me know. When i enquired, I was informed that I had returned the car with windshield broken, because of which i amount was charged on me. I was shocked as the car retuned by me was absolutely perfect. Also, it took 3 months to them to realize that they need to charge for the broken windshield.

I would suggest each one of you to never use avis, to avoid being cheated.

Needs major fixing


I’m only writing a review in hopes of Avis seeing it and fixing it. The app is absolutely horrible. It is sooooooooooooooooo slow to update information. And i get an error every single time saying i am not signed in. And i have to update my credit card info EVERY WEEK. I travel for work every week so these slow and inefficient things really tick me off! Also i switched my car through the app but the front gate attended never got an update about it, so he held me at the gate until he figured it out!!! Why even offer the option to switch if your systems don’t get updated? So tired of this app
