I really enjoyed the demo for this game. I like this series because it is more puzzle driven than hidden object driven (which gets really annoying). I was also very glad to see that it had finally been released. The graphics are excellent and the soundtrack is as good as always. The puzzles are fun and well crafted.
Haven't yet purchased the full game because there was no introductory price and paying $7 for a game that can be finished in only a few hours is just too much--I pay roughly that much for games that take 20+ hours to complete, not 3-4 hours.
Update: Bought this game when it was on sale. It's beautiful and well crafted. I enjoyed the twists on the hidden object scenes--there are some great improvements on such scenes (which usually drive me nuts with boredom). There's a good variety of puzzles here. The only problem was that there were too many "use all the pipes" type of puzzles, pretty much all of which were rather annoying, too. All in all, an excellent addition to the series and I am looking forward to the last game.
Problems like the second one
I am totally confused. Has it now become an art form to take 40 seconds to get through the opening screens (which a good portion is black) and then another 15 seconds to load the game and get to the actual presentation? I was irritated with the second of this series because of this, and now it has found its way into this new game. FYI when the upload is slow, so are the responses to requests to touch certain buttons. It took forever to get the owl and the little dragon where they were to be. The dialogue boxes would not close immediately nor were the "sweet" spots easily found. I also need to share that the moment I attempted to move forward from the snowy exterior, the program totally shut me down! Suddenly, I was staring at the "apple" and wondering if this game had done something to my iPad. I am not going further with this game until I see both the second and the third of this series fixed. It's really too bad, too, because the reason I bought the second and downloaded the third was because of the wonderful graphic presentation of the first. It hooked me. Unfortunately, that opinion has been ruined. I look forward to seeing these problems fixed before number four hits the market.
Geez BF it's been a year since the Second Awakening!! I didn't think it would take u guys a year to get the third Awakening out!! The price is a lil high but it took me about 6 hours to complete the game. I will say that one the mini games that have tubes or something of that nature where u have to connect one to another using the tubes, if u look at the strategy guide it will give u the correct solution for the first one but the second one is wrong and u have to use all the pipes to complete it. Those mini games were hard, the others wasn't so hard. I only needed the strategy guide for the puzzles with the pipes but found it ultimately useless as it doesn't show the correct answer, weird! But anyway still a good game but as usual now I'm going to have to wait forever for the fourth one to be released and knowing BF it will be another year! Ugh!!!
