What's New in Version 1.3
Welcome back to AWESOME Land! With this update you can enjoy a whole bunch of improvements to make your experience all the more awesome, including:
- iPhone 5 wide screen support
- New particle effects, animations and other graphical enhancements
- Improved controls and physics
- Better performance
- Now full screen on iPad (no more black bars)
- Some minor alterations to level layouts so that the game can run in the different aspect ratios without unbalancing the difficulty
This game was more harder than the original Super Mario Land, but the jump was more better in this game.
Guys, please update your controls. Please please update them, in both platformers. They make two great games very hard to play. It gets in the way of the games. On the left side, maybe make it so where the directional controls are, you can simply press a direction. Right now they're dinky and hard to hit. On the right side, just make the tapping a zone. I know you're going for a retro feel with the look of the controls right now, but it's at the cost of the gameplay.
I like this game a lot, despite the obvious Mario influences the game still manages to have its own unique charm. I also like the fact that extra lives actually mean something, sure you can quick save if you're on the go, but the is no boring level select grid like most iOS games, which makes this game much more challenging and enjoyable for me. I only wish this had iCade support, I would play much more often if it did.
