Traveling is stressful. From the taxi to check-in, to security and getting to the gate in time to board the plane. Sometimes, there aren’t enough minutes to grab a bite to eat.
B4 YOU BOARD™ is the key to making the traveler’s day better at Chicago O’Hare, Sacramento Intl. Airport, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airports. This new app, brought to travelers by airport restaurateur HMSHost, makes it easy to dine at the airport if you’re in a rush, or just happy sitting at your gate waiting to board your plane.
Download the B4 YOU BOARD™ app and get started on making your trip easier and better.
The menus at the B4 YOU BOARD™ airports offer selections from breakfast to lunch and dinner, and even appetizers. You’ll chose from restaurants including Chili’s Too!, French Meadow Bakery & Café, Stanley’s Blackhawks Lounge, and Stefani’s Tuscany Café, to name just a few.
What's New in Version 1.2.5
* important bug fix that caused the app to crash when trying to order outside availability times
Great idea poor execution
Tried this for the first time today. I had just landed and ordered while stuck on the Tarmac waiting for a gate. Time was tight and the app promised me 20 min.
Arrived at the restaurant (La Grande Orange) and asked for my order and they looked like I was speaking Heiroglyphics. Finally they asked a manager, who grabbed what looked like a personal cell phone and looked. They hadn't gotten the order. They made it fast but could not give a receipt. B4 you board sent one but all it said was thank you and the dollar amount. No details like what restaurant, what I ordered, etc. If there was ever a glitch and the restaurant didn't get it, I would have no recourse. I also can't use that as a receipt. Very poor - will not use again.
Not all it's cracked up to be
Only supporting 5 airports currently and the last update was over a year ago. Let me go ahead and give you some insider scoop app developer, the iPhone screen size has grown so maybe your app should as well to take advantage of the whole screen. Then again, if you only support 5 airports out of the over 5,000 public airports nationwide then maybe you dont need the space. Way to knock it out of the park guys by covering 0.1% of the playing field. I'm sure that 0.1% really love this app.
I just used the system for the first time today. When I showed up to pick up my meal, I was told the system was down and they never received the order. The quickly prepared it for me; it was wrong (discovered at the gate) and they tried to charge me for it again. Also, would be nice if you could specify to omit items from the order (ie no nuts or no cheese) for those with food allergies.
