Decent app but a couple annoying flaws
The app is good at keeping track of which breast you left off on, how long you fed your baby, how long he slept, etc. I agree with one of the other reviewers, however, that this app seems to take you straight to the App Store for random games or other apps. It's gotten better recently, but for a good 2 months, every time I had the app open, it would automatically take me to the App Store as if I had clicked on the ad at the bottom of the screen. The other annoying thing about this app is that when you exit your current session, it defaults to the bottom of the history for that topic. So if you're in the breast feeding section, when you exit your current session the app scrolls down to the oldest entry, which could be 2 weeks, 3 weeks prior. I'd rather it defaulted to the next most recent entry, versus all the way down to the oldest. That would make it easier to alter your current entry if you needed to go back and change something. The way it is now, I have to scroll and scroll to get back to the most recent entry.
I also wish there were a section for things like Tummy time, so that I could keep track of how often I'm giving my baby tummy time. Same for things like vitamins, as I have to give my baby vitamin d daily and it'd be nice to have a place to log it.
Too much crashing & ads
As a mom of an 8 month old, having an app that tracks all your baby's info is a lifesaver, especially during those first few months! However, I do not recommend this app for new parents.
Although it would occasionally freeze or restart on me after I first downloaded this app when my baby was first born, I was able to ignore the flaws and appreciate the ability to quickly determine what side I last nursed on or how long my son slept during the night. But after a few months, the freezes, restarts, and crashes became more frequent and persistent. I also noticed the pop up ads became more tricky to avoid accidentally clicking on, and now I swear my phone takes me straight to the App Store when I haven't even touched the screen after the pop up appears. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to switch apps because all my info is wrapped up in this one. Sure I can export it in a "Notepad"-type format to my email, but I can't import that info into another app or even this same one if I was to uninstall and reinstall this same app. What a frustrating bummer! I'm ready to throw my phone through the window tonight because the app keeps crashing and I cannot get it to function, even after restarting my phone many times. Ugh.
Do yourself a favor and find another app!!!
My wife and I just brought home our little baby girl on Sunday and while at the hospital they had us log everything for Henzlee for their records. When we got home we kept up with the logging on paper and and I began to wonder there's got to be an app for this. With my wife and I techno savy we found this amazing app. Now you only get limited use of it unless you purchase the premiere which is what we did because it enabled us to log so much more such as vaccines, medications, doctor visits etc. you name it it probably has it. I understand some of the previous reviews were a little concerning with the new updates about it being sluggish but that definitely didn't keep me from using the app to its full potential. Another great thing is that you can sync it with your smartphone. We are currently using it with our iPad but when we are on the go we can use our iPhones for logging purposes. Another great feature is that you can export your data. So when going to a doctor or babysitter you can email or print your diary. Very neat. I give this app a two thumbs up!
