Backgammon Deluxe Free! is a wonderful version of one of the oldest two player dice board games. Players win by removing all of their pieces from the board. Although luck is involved and factors into the outcome, strategy plays a more important role in the long run. Play against the computer or with a friend. This is a great family game!

Thanks for playing Backgammon Deluxe Free!!!
I am at best an average player, but at its most difficult setting I can beat this game almost every time - often scoring gammons and occasionally a backgammon. Curiously it doesn’t keep score. If it did I would probably be winning by a ratio of more than 50 to 1. Whoever programmed this does not know much about backgammon tactics. It is absurdly aggressive and does not weigh the consquences of its moves. It will almost automatically hit any open piece in its own home court without regard for protecting its own open pieces in that area. Once you have set up your home court defensively, just open up pieces in its home and watch the slaughter. It just keeps hitting these pieces no matter how many you keep knocking it back The only way it ever wins is with many freaky lucky rolls that keep you off the board - extremely rarely.
If you make a mistake - say you move your first chip, but realize you need to place your chips differently (happens a lot for me when I throw doubles), you CANNOT undo - PERIOD! I’m sure they did this to prevent people from constantly undo-ing to get the roll they want … but there are ways to implement undo so that players cant undo dice rolls or completed moves (so throw in an option for the player to confirm that they are done with their move so that they can undo all they want until they click on DONE - that would be a nice touch) … but I doubt this company will implement any such thing as even their checkers game forces you to jump when you have a jump on the board … no way to turn that off either
backgammon at its very basic
Ok backgammon game. Not a very good teaching game, even when set to difficult the computer makes stupid moves a "difficult" player would never make.
And for a decent player as myself, it offers no challenge whatsoever. Just won 7 straight games and the computer never once got to bear off. didnt think i was that good, but this game makes me look like a pro.
Missing key fetures that makes backgammon backgammon.
#1. A points system
#2. A doubling die?? how do you even have backgammon without that?
pretty boring if you ask me, Ill stick to the backgammon on my phone
