This app is an introduction to the bahtssal language of North America.
This application was developed in partnership by the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC), www.cimcc.org and Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Center, http://www.miromaa.org.au/.
The purpose of the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC) is to educate the public about the history, culture and contemporary life of California Indians and to honor their contributions to civilization. This application was developed pursuant to the Shoh yehaelim: Pomo is Happening Now project, funded by the Administration for Native Americans, Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Shoh yehaelim promotes Pomo language learning within tribal communities in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties.
Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Centre is a not-for-profit organization supporting language documentation and conservation programs nationally and internationally. Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Centre are the developers of the internationally recognized and highly acclaimed Miromaa language technology program which is used for the documentation, conservation and dissemination of our traditional language.
