Like a good cup of coffee

Balance is like a good cup of coffee. Or, to be even more percise, it’s like a cortado (a small espresso drink). Small, excellent, exactly what you wanted; though a little pricy, leaveing you wanting a little bit more. I bought this app because I wanted a simple app to check my various bank account balances, without having to load multiple (and usually bad) websites. Balance does the job, and it does it well with a nice design. I especially like how you can see where you spend most of your money. (Side note: customer support is very good.)

Now, that being said, let’s be honest: Balance is a little pricy, probably a bit more than it should be considering what it is. Hopefully the developers will continue to improve the app and perhaps add an iPhone app to make the cost more palatable. In the meantime, if you’ve been looking for an app like this for awhile (as I have), the cost will probably end up being worth it for you.

Updated Review 2/16/2016

I have to give this app 5 stars even if I think it’s a little over priced. I’ve had a couple issues with the app but the developers or customer service who ever it is respond almost immediately and all the issues I’ve run into have been fixed. The worst thing about purchasing apps in the app store is finding out the app has issues and then to top it off the team behind the apps aren’t there to answer questions. These guys/girls here running balance pretty much should be a showcase of how support should be handled by other devs, really great job.

The UI is excellent and the app is super responsive. I contacted support about not being able to signup the contaced me back almost immediately they said they were working on it I was able to signup the day after without any problems. I have had trouble syncing a couple accounts but to the devs credit I have trouble syncing those accounts with almost any app or web service I use. This app definitely makes it easier to sync accounts then any other app out there that I’ve come across both paid a free.

My only complaint is the price, It’s just really expensive.

Great alternative to Mint, although a bit pricey

The app alone is beautiful. Adding accounts is easy although some of the institutions fail to connect, but that’s understandable. The monthly price is a bit steep, but still recommended if you can afford it!
