Code optimization fix
Okay, I got all of the scale applications and they are all flawed for one reason or another. All of these apps tell you to balance a precision scale on your finger.....it's idiotic. HOWEVER, I have figured out the ONLY way to get accurate results, never off more then .1 or .2, using this app. All you need to do is get any roll of tape, and stabalize it on it's side, then balance your iPhone on top of it. Just get 2 books and put them close together then place the tape between them(so it doesn't roll away when you put your phone on it). You can also put the roll of tape in a cup so its balanced on the rim (not too wide, you want the top of the roll high enough so the cup won't get in the way). Now put the balance line, which is where your phones center of gravity is, on top of the roll of tape so it is perfectly balanced and level. Now calibrate it. Make sure your phone isnt shaking when u push the button. Make sure it stays on 0.0 +/- .1.Now you can put small objects that you want to weigh on the arrow, but still keep the object on the majority of the screen. It works, 4 stars, but it could be better.
Works pretty good
I thought this was such a useless app. when I tried using my finger as a balance point. I read another review where I guy used a roll of tape to balance the itouch/iPhone on and claimed he got good results so I tried that and it works like a charm. My roll of tape has a radius of about an inch or less. The only thing is that the center of mass should be about halfway beteween the recommended point and the edge. I'm guessing this app was particularly designed for the itouch considering it weighs less. So if u have an itouch u may get good results with the recommended point. Hope this helps everyone having trouble like I did
It works, just not well
Ok, at first I couldn't get it at all. After I pressed the little "i" on the bottom of the screen it explained how to do it. It works, just not very well. If I wanted to I could make it read anything I wanted but if I place my finger on the counter top and make it stable before balancing the iPhone it's pretty good. If you are trying to wiegh your coke (I can't think of anything else you would want to measure on this) I wouldn't trust it. (you'll be oweing the boss a lot of cash that you don't have) But if you are just using it every once and a while then it's all good.
