Ever found yourself looking for an easy way to keep track of those little debts and credits you have with your friends? Balances may be just what you were looking for!
Designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind, Balances allows you to quickly take note of the money you owe to your friend or of the credit they owe you.
You can add debts or credits using the two main buttons: once one of them has been completed, you can swipe on it to the right to mark it as such. Never mind, though: you can always put it back on your list from the "Completed" section, by just swiping it to the left.
For every credit / debt, you can specify the amount of money and the person you have the credit / debt with. Additionally, you may want to add a brief description of every balance. You can also edit those details later by keeping a balance pressed from the main list.
It's time to throw away those sticky notes - Balances makes the task much easier to accomplish.
Give it a try today!
What's New in Version 1.1
- Improved User Interface: buttons can now be accessed more easily
- Added total debts / credits visualizations
- iOS 6.0 Support
Thank you for your overwhelming support! Don't forget to update your reviews - those are much appreciated!
Love using this app daily. The layout is very minimalistic (as it should be!), and it's so easy to use.
Recommendation: Ability to hold separate debit balances that allow you to credit them as they happen. Say, I have a grocery budget set, and I want to track spending as it happens, so I credit my "Grocery" balance and it shows how much I have left in that budgeted expense. Maybe if I select the individual balance card, it could open a simple overview that shows credits/remaining balance.
As mentioned earlier, the layout is great, so if it would be possible to add this feature without adding too many extra steps- it would be the perfect finance app! Keep up the great work!
Great start, hoping for more features.
The app itself is beautifully intuitive. For my friends and I, paying each other back is usually a disorganized mess of notes, texts, and dubious claims. With this app, I can quickly and easily sort out who I owe/ am owed money from.
The current software is great, but I'm looking for future updates to solidify an already good purchase.
1) Add a way to subtract and add to a preexisting balance. I don't want to have to create a new transaction or exit out into calculator every time I need to edit a balance.
2) Find a way to itemize a balance. If someone owes me $10 for lunch, $20 for dinner, and $40 for some other purchase, I want to be able to tell them exactly why they owe me the money they do. Yes, I could type it into another app, but I think it's fairly reasonable for there to be a record of multiple transactions underneath the same person.
Honestly though, the current implementation is still great. I would recommend trying it out; it takes a lot of the hassle away from dealing with an already touchy subject.
Great work Filippo!
Nice update! One nice addition (if possible), would be the ability to have running credits and be able to add or subtract from those. For example, say I owe my friend $8, but then he pays me back $4.75 of it. It would be nice if you could make a way so it subtracts the 4.75 from the 8 and have the remaining balance as a credit. As well as say he pays another 6.50 to me. Now I owe him money. That would make this app PERFECT!!! :))
