Update Features Missing and Imbalanced Controls
A three star rating seems a little negative for me, but four stars is too much.
The newest update advertises shuffling and looping, but even after deleting and redownloading, I can't find them anywhere.
But something I noticed the first minute that I used the app is that the dragging controls are too tight and imbalanced. If I have a song playing and I'm searching in different menus, I can very easily pull up to access the controls for pause/play, next and previous track, and a slider for time. But it takes multiple tries to slide it back down as it seems to have an incredible force to actually move it back down out of the way. I'd LOVE to see it more balanced and sensitive.
Overall, not an overly negative experience, but it needs fixing.
It's a great place for musicians to share their work. Whether they're starting out, or already pretty big, it's a fair place. The only issue I'm seeing is that it's just not as convenient as something like google play and Apple Music. Although you can download your bandcamp music onto Apple Music, google play, etc. it's just easier to get your music directly from your preferred platform. Aside from that, though, everything's good.
Directly support artists and discover new music
I love Bandcamp! It's nice to know that 85%! of the money I spend on purchases will go directly to the artist. Sure, I wish this app allowed for offline listening or that I could manage my purchased music files (MP3 and FLAC!) without a computer. But it's all worth it for the value gained from this site: ease of discovery and money for artists. Awesome!
