Rip Off
I used the service for the first time last week while visiting NYC. Taxi's from Laguardia are usually a flat fare of about $35. I was going to share the cab with one other person, and the guy who ran our credit card 1. Didn't tell us how much it was going to be 2. When I asked him, he said "Normally a cab would be $100, but since you're sharing it, it's going to be $50 each." (I should have complained then and there but we were standing outside and it was freezing) 3. When we got in the cab, he told the driver to run the meter, and of course that day it took like 1 hour to get into the city so the meter came out to about $72
As soon as I got out of the cab I got a confirmation from Bandwagon saying I'd been charged $72. 🙄 Why did I pay to share a cab with someone if we were EACH going to get charged the full fare??? The only good that came from using the service was that I got to skip the huge taxi line, but other than that, it was 100% false advertising.
Fraud
Do not use this App. At the end of the trip, after we dropped off the first passenger the driver lost his sh$! and said he is not Uber and I needed to pay the full fare. He said he has not been paid and I could not leave the cab. I've been in NYC for 15 years and this is TERRIBLE. No customer service - I feel it is as close to fraud as I've ever seen.
Useless
I downloaded this app due to the company's posted sign at the taxi line at the end of the central terminal at LGA claiming that the app could skip the line.
It won't let me post a ride because I don't know the addressing my location, even though it seems to know that I'm at LGA.
Really? Why advertise this app if it's not going to work at the location where you're advertising it?
I would give it zero if that was possible since it was a complete waste of time to download it and sign up.
