Version 2.2

The foci of the release are stability, bug fixing and alignment, giving a better overall experience when using the app. One of the more notable improvements in this release is the design update of the Beolab control cards, so the design match the rest of the app.

Poor software; great hardware.

My experience with this app on iOS 10.3.3 is that it sporadically freezes, music occasionally stops playing via AirPlay and unfortunately, there is no way to set an alarm that uses iTunes Library as the wake-up sound. Frankly, I am a huge B&O fan but am extremely surprised at how poor this app is. Sonos is 10x easier to use. I expect to return my BeoSound 1, I am sorry to say.

UPDATE. I determined why music cut out via AirPlay--not B&O's fault. I'm disappointed the Alarm cannot be used with an iTunes Library song via Bluetooth or AirPlay and think the app is not nearly as intuitive as Apple apps or even Sonos' but I have my Beosound 1 functioning at this point and plan to keep it. I wish the app were simpler and better designed but the hardware is beautiful and I'm proud to own a piece of B&O.

Absolute crap

What a horrific update. Freezes all the time. Cannot even configure the Beosound 35 now. Try to access Configure page and it comes up for one second and then goes all black. Repeatedly refuses to find or connect to my Beosound 35 saying it’s “not available”. Even though it is confirmed on the network.
Was forced to update software. Now have to reset my unit. After reset now need to reconnect my App and iPhone. But it won’t allow that to happen. Finally after 12 resets and retrying it can recognize my product.

Brutal that you cannot use a $3500 piece of equipment because the App operates like it was developed by amateur children. Come on B&O. Expect so much better.

I am terribly sorry to hear that you had issues with the latest update of our app. If you are having repeated issues connecting and setting up your speaker repeatedly, there might have been an issue with the installation or update of your app. For this we would recommend that you uninstall the app, and reinstall it again.

The app just hangs on startup

As much as I wish I had something nice to say about this app, is does not do anything: after going through the setup where it REQUIRES you to login with a Facebook, Google or Microsoft account (why?!?, seriously, WHY?) and adding the device (a brand new BeoPlay H5) it just hangs forever on the startup screen. Killed and restarted a few times and still nothing. Just. Hangs. So 1-star for requiring a social login, and also 1-star for incredibly poor app quality control and disingenuous design, for even having a way for the app startup path to hang.
