Works, but wish it had more functionality
This app is ONLY for making remote deposits on your mobile device (which you have to call them to activate for your account). This is not the same as activating it to be able to scan your checks from your computer (which you also have to call them to have activated for your account). Lots of banks have apps that can do much more, and it's good that they allow you to deposit checks from your phone, but I wish this app had more features (like checking your balance, or making a transfer) which would make it more useful.
I was between Barclays and Capital One when researching online banks but I went with Barclays for the higher yield savings interest rate. However, this app has a horrible interface and makes me kind of regret not choosing Capital One. Barclays, for the love of God, hire someone to redesign your app so that it does more than one function! If you're going to offer an online savings account, you must know that most of your users will be pretty tech-savvy so renovate your app (and your website while you're at it).
Does not work with iPad camera
You have to photograph the front and back of your check, fitting within the image area that shows on the screen. That image area is about 1 inch square, which is just a very small segment of the iPad camera coverage. However, apparently the entire iPad area is sent, and not accepted. Probably works well with iPhone.
