Customer Reviews

Five stars!

Well, more like 1 star but since they have found a way to censor most 1 or 2 star reviews, giving the app 5 stars is about the only way to get a review published (a few 1 star reviews do get published which I suspect is to make us think the other thousands of 5 star reviews are legitimate). First of all, the junk cleaning is a joke; nothing actually happens and I've tested it a number of different ways - it's all smoke and mirrors. Also, the app does nothing to make your battery last longer that you can't already do by using the settings. Finally, the app cannot possibly prevent you from overcharging your battery. The iPhone circuitry makes it completely impossible to overcharge your battery. You could not overcharge your battery even if you tried to do so. Again, lots of hype and false information. If you've had your device for years, are a heavy user, and your battery life is nowhere near what it once was, the solution is either to buy a new device or replace the battery. This app won't magically renew your battery nor make it last longer.

Battery Doctor

I thought my battery was getting old and weak. I had to charge up all the time. One of my friends told me about Battery Doctor. I thought what can it hurt??? I found that I had several programs running in the background so I did not see where the battery draw was coming from. Funny I still have the same battery after using Battery Doctor. It now last much longer for use. I also found out that even when the iPod or iPhone show they are charged. It is not true. Battery Doctor has the capability to identify when the charge is complete.
It will be a little longer than you would think. About 1/2 an hour more charging than what your equipment will show it has completed the charge.
It also reminds you to disconnect the equipment as to not over charge the battery. This over charging will burn your battery out quickly. Do not leave your items charging all the time. Pretty cool. Thank you, very much for the software, Battery Doctor. You have taught me well.
For Free too. "Wow"

Not certain there is much benefit

First, I read all these reviews about people with brand new 64 gig phones and the app consistently tells them over 80% of the memory is used. The percentage used that is being referenced is the random access memory (RAM). The junk tab that clears the cache and accurately displays how much storage memory the phone has available.

That being said, it never finds any junk to clean on my phone. It does; however, continually report that memory (RAM) is low. The boost function scans and presumably shuts down unnecessary things consuming RAM. I suspect those things turn themselves back on the next time they go looking for data on the refresh schedule programmed into them. In my opinion, the boost is of no value except maybe to run the scan right before surfing the web or engaging the phone in some other intensive activity.

The junk cleaner would work well if i generated junk that is "cached" in my phone's system memory as I'm certain many other people do.

Finally, the one thing I do like is that it alerts when I have achieved 100% charge.

Overall; it's free, you can easily clean your cache files, allegedly wipe whatever is consuming your RAM, albeit temporarily; and, most importantly, it will train you to have better charging habits.
