Popular news stay longer
So as of late, I was frustrated by the fact that the list of articles would never get updated. I would repeatedly check throughout the week and nothing new was there. I finally started scrolling to the right, going through past news, when I started seeing articles that I have never seen before.
This is ridiculous! Why are some articles staying right in the front for weeks and weeks and weeks, while others are updated at the bottom of the list?
Now there is no quick way to check for updated articles. You must scroll back and think... Have I read this or not... 2 stars because content is reasonable.
Great no more
This used to be a great site to get world news; I read it every night...UNTIL THE INVASION OF THE ADVERTISEMENTS. First it started with the videos; a 30 sec ad every time before the video started ...and the SAME ad every time. Then came the ads between the stories. Not too bad, you could flick past them quickly. NOW when you flick past it, the ad pops up from the bottom as if starting a video, and keeps repeating the same ad relentlessly until you click the ad. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I deleted the app until you either limit the ads or offer a paid version... I'd rather pay a buck for the app than deal with those annoying ads...sad!
The invasive ads have ruined it for me
I've been using this app for a long time now, but the ever-increasing invasiveness of advertisements has ruined my interest in using the app. Especially the perpetual Boeing ad - seriously? I'm not going to start buying planes. 99.9% of the app users aren't in the market to buy a plane, so all you've done is wasted space and made me dislike Boeing as a company as well. Screen space is quite limited on a phone, so banner ads really do present an inconvenience when using apps like this. I'd MUCH rather pay a dollar for the app and never see an ad ever than put up with increasingly invasive and pointless advertising.
Aside from that, I love it! But only one star for you, until you toss the ads.
