What's New in Version 2.3.2
This update includes minor stability and performance improvements.
The Premier Music Streaming App, In Need For Minor Improvements
Beats music is wonderful. It has made the process of building, and organizing, a music collection an absolute breeze with its playlist creation and subscription features. The curators are clearly very knowledgable in their respective genres; their playlists draw from a variety of artists and are -- for the most part -- pleasing to the ear. The ability to make any playlist available offline is also a huge plus.
However, one feature I would really like to see is the ability to organize songs in playlists by artist, album, etc. Also, I have noticed that the heart you tap when you "love" a song does not remain pink, after exiting the options menu.
A question for the developers: what is the point of "loving" songs and playlists? Is it part of the algorithm that curates the Just For You section, or is there something I'm not aware of in the app (i.e., a list of "loved" songs and playlists)?
I wasn't sure at first once I tried beats that I would like it or continue to use the service. Over time as it's built out suggestions based on my listening habits, I've really grown to like it. I've found lots of new music from existing and new artists that I wouldn't have easily found through beats. I don't use all the features of it, and I am the type of person who likes to listen to whole albums by artists, but it works really well for that. The created playlists are also pretty sick, and there one of the best ways to find new music through beats. It doesn't have everything from a music standpoint, but it does have a lot and I would say that the $10 a month is definitely worth it. It's also nice to use to listen to new albums that drop without having to purchase them to see if you like them first or not. Overall, would recommend.
Love Service, Way too many unfixed bugs.
I have been listening to Beats Music for almost a year now, and I love it but it's got way too many annoying bugs. If you count on heading out for a trip and want to download a bunch of songs on your Wi-Fi, leave it up to Beats Music to download half of each song (Or bug out and not be able to play your downloaded song). Also, if you're planning on making a playlist, make sure you say goodbye to the song in the "My Library" section. For some reason it likes to delete songs from the my library section when you adds a song to your playlists, making you have to go all the way to your playlist to hit play on that one song you were looking for on your album. All in all, I like the app, but the bugs are really annoying and I would hope they will fix it soon. (These bugs have been going on for about 4 months.) I have an iPhone 5S.
