A Very Thorough Banking App
At first glance the changes to thing app seemed Strange. But the more I messed with it, The more I understood what did what as well as where to find things. With the old app, all I did was check balances or transfer money. Both of those are still easy to do and can be accessed from the main screen. One thing I personally like is that it only shows my "Available Balance", that makes it easy to see exactly how much money I can spend. As a bonus they added the ability to categorize your transactions/purchases and get a general idea of what you've been spending your money on in the past week/month/year/etc.
The "Money Manager" was also added. I had always seen it on their website but never actually cared for it to try it out. But being already on the app, I decided to give it a shot. With MM, I could set budgets for myself and help me save money. Don't forget to type in how much money YOU make in a month (it's automatically set to $500, just tap "details v" in bottom right).
Terrible... Again. Why not follow UI standards?
Why can't you guys just follow iOS standards for the UI?? Scrolling is terrible at the top and bottom, the stretch and bump back is just not smooth like it should be. Each click has a flash of white come up then the page loads... Why? It's very annoying. Clicking on an account on main page takes me to yet another account selection page... I thought I would just go right to the one I clicked on the main page, guess not. Then there's another click just to get to transactions. There's a "refreshed x mins ago" notice stuffed awkwardly at the bottom... What was refreshed exactly? Should I even care? And now there's a giant green 0 left to budget... I don't want to use your budget stuff, never signed up for it, never want to click on it or use it. I thought this was designed to help me with my accounts, and apparently you've taken into account feedback from your customers... So hopefully everyone else likes it, but to me it looks like you made an app you think people will want, not one people actually do. And again, most upsettingly, it again doesn't follow iOS UI standards... Ugh.
What's my AVAILABLE balance?
App is super slow, just loads for ever. I have to back button out of the app and bring it back up to get it to actually load my info. Plus, and maybe this is just me or i need to keep better track of my spending (isn't that what the app is for), why don't they display the current and available balance????? They still show things that are pending, but they only show one balance. The old app showed pending transactions, current and available balance so that you could tell how much you actually would have left in your account. Available balance let you know that pending transactions had already been accounted for as having been subtracted from your current balance so that you could do the math and know that even though a pending transaction hadn't officially been taken out, you could know for certain how much you had left once the pending transactions had fully gone thru. Thanks for screwing me over right at the end of the month when i have rent do. Now i don't know if i have enough for rent. Thanks a lot becu.
