* Snoring detection requires you to grant access for Beddit to use the microphone on your iOS-device. Beddit does not record audio as such (e.g. speech) but only changes in sound intensity levels.

** Smart-measuring functionality requires a you to authorize Beddit to use location services on your iOS-device. The real-time location is used to start measuring your sleep automatically when you go to bed. You can choose to disable the Smart-measuring which also disables the location data usage. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

What's New in Version 2.6.1

The new TRENDS features makes your results visible over 7, 30 and 90-day periods so you always know if you are trending up, down, or holding steady. 

The first version of TRENDS offers three key areas for improving sleep - Sleep Score, sleep time, and all-night resting heart rate.

The new, dark start screen keep the lights down when starting the app just before bedtime.

Poor Product and Poor Support

Not recommended. This app, along with its required hardware accessory purchase, provides very little actionable information that can help improve sleep. I thought I was missing something at first, and that more actionable data and trends would show up if I kept using it, but this hasn't happened.

If you want to improve your sleep, I would recommend other alternatives, such as Sleep Cycle (which is essentially free). I don't have any relation to Sleep Cycle other than being a user. Sleep Cycle is itself still lacking in many areas, but I find it much more useful for understanding my sleep.

Finally, Beddit doesn't seem to be good at support either. They asked me for feedback, which I sent to them. I was told (in writing) that their "CEO" named Lasse would contact me. I've waited a couple weeks before posting any reviews online, but he hasn't contacted me. As a side note, the one time I wrote to Sleep Cycle with a question, which I had no idea if they would bother to answer, I received a reply WITHIN 30 MINUTES! I was impressed.

I very much like that Beddit will record, to Apple's HealthKit data repository, my heart rate and breathing rate all night without me having to wear any gadgets.

Great sleep insights

After a few problems with Bluetooth connectivity ( solved with the help of Beddit support) the device has been very dependable and informative. I especially appreciate seeing respiration and heartbeat info.

I thought the strip would not stay in position

I didn't even stick it onto my bed and it still stayed and worked perfectly.
