Bennington Banner
I’ve subscribed to the Banner for over 50 years. I was sorry to see the change over to mail delivery as we had a very reliable carrier. The same cannot be said of our mail service. But I’ve adjusted and developed a routine of reading the newspaper first thing after waking up. I especially like the personal stories of local residents…well written and often very poignant. The commentaries are great, too, especially Alden Graves and Bob Stannard. As is the religious column on Saturdays. Your reporters work hard, but are stretched to cover all the local news. I must say covering the news across southern Vermont means that there are a number of articles I’m not so interested in. I’d like more articles about the legislature when it’s in session. Lastly, I always complete my morning routine with the puzzles. Thank goodness I’m able to print them out!
New version an improvement
The recently released updated version of the digital Bennington Banner is more reliable and less quirky than its predecessor. Combined with the improved coverage of local and state news, this is the first app I open each morning
Old stomping grounds
Many years of my youth were spent in the Southern Vermont. I daily scan the Banner website in order to keep up with local news.
