The Best Day - Easy Group Scheduling
By Get Beasy Pty Ltd
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Ever try rounding up your friends for a get-together only to end up with an inbox full of confusing responses and no decisions?
The Best Day makes it simple to bring your group together in three easy steps:
1. Add options for times that suit you and places you want to go.
2. Invite your friends to vote.
3. Decide on the most popular options and lock in your plan.
The Best Day removes the messy back-and-forth messaging and maybe responses that are typical of planning a get-together over email and Facebook. You're presented with a clear view of your friends' availability and preferences so that you can spend less time planning get-togethers and more time enjoying them.
You can also:
• Invite your friends to vote in any way - by email, Facebook, Twitter, iMessage or by sharing a link on another App.
• See suggested places to meet your friends based on your location.
• Change your plan's cover photo to customize your invitations to the activity you're planning.
• Automatically synchronize confirmed plans to your iOS Calendar.
What's New in Version 1.1
+ Introduces support for invited plans
+ Improved and updated plan summaries
+ Facebook avatars
+ Bug fixes throughout!
Good concept, but missing notifications
The concept and execution are quite good, overall. I would prefer it to look at the Calendar app directly, so that I could see my existing schedule without constantly switching back and forth between this app and my calendar.
In in spite of that feature, I would still rate this app much higher--except for one critical mistake: The notifications don't work at all! I have set my notifications (both in the app and in General Settings) to alert me when somebody responds to my event invitation--yet this app never notifies me of anything. I've nearly missed two appointments already because this app never notified me that my invitees had actually responded.
I used this app for the first time in January, and it worked like a charm. It was going to be my go-to app for scheduling stuff. Came back in February 2016, and I get a “Sorry, something went wrong on our end” message time and time again. The website throws up a warning from Chrome that says “Your connection is not private”, and won’t load.
I hope the developer can get it back on track, because it was a great initial experience. Too bad.
I knew there would be an app for this, since it would be so helpful. I'm disappointed it's not working on either my iPhone or iPad. Please fix it.
