Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
BetterSnapTool allows you to easily manage your window positions and sizes by either dragging them to one of the screen's corners or to the top, left or right side of the screen. This enables you to easily maximize your windows, position them side by side or even resize them to quarters of the screen.
If you need even more than those standard snap areas, BetterSnapTool now allows you to create your own, custom snap areas anywhere on your display.
To be even more productive you can also set custom keyboard shortcuts in order to move and resize your windows.
Because there are so many positions available, BetterSnapTool can also pop up an overview menu from which you can select the one position you want.
You can also customize what happens after right-clicking on one of the buttons on the top left of a window.
More features included are:
• move or resize the window below the cursor while holding customizable modifier keys.
• select what happens when double-clicking a windows titlebar
BetterSnapTool is very customizable and will change the way you work with your Mac!
It supports multiple monitors, hidden docks etc..
You can change the design of the preview overlays and even set application specific snapping sizes!
BetterSnapTool works with almost every application, only some apps with non-standard windows can't be supported.
I'm always open for new ideas, so don't hesitate and ask!

Ex-Windows User? Buy this. Tried Magnet, Like BetterSnapTool More
The Short Version:
Tried several MacOS windows management tools and like BetterSnapTool the best.
The Long Version:
Having been a die-hard Windows user for decades, a Win10 crash, unrecoverable backup image and resulting lost data tipped the scales for me and shortly thereafter I bought my first MacBook. Although there are aspects of MS Win which I still like - like native windows snapping - I am delighted to have discovered what all the fuss is about over Apple and it’s products.
However, I found the native support for window control in MacOS VERY irritating…until I discovered BetterSnapTool. Actually, I believe BetterSnapTool is the first Mac app I purchased and have used it for years. I like the customizable features, keystroke shortcuts, intuitive and seamless function which makes using OS windows a delight now.
A few months back I saw that Magnet had promotional pricing, so I bought it to see how well it worked. It is similar in function but was glitchy in some aspects. For example, when it came to snapping windows full-screen, for some reason Magnet would signal the MacOS Mission Control feature. So annoying! Tried to figure it out in Settings, but gave up, uninstalled, then reconfigured BetterSnapTool to be my windows manager again.
If you’re familiar with MS Windows and are looking for better MacOS windows management and control, get BetterSnapTool and don’t look back!!
Best Dollar Ever Spent
When I switched jobs my new workplace gave us all macbook airs over the traditional Lenovos. I had never used a mac before, but my son had. After my initial frsutration with the OS, my son told me that I had to get this app. This was the first app that i ever got, and I use it multiple times a day every day. It has never let me down, and is simple to install and use. Makes the mac feel just that little bit more inviting to use.
Great app, could be excellent
This all does what it claims to do just fine. However, to make a great app excellent, one thing comes to my mind. Please, add the support to remember particular window layout and restore it by dropping that window onto a particular snap area. I mean, unique one-on-one relationship that would trigger remembering and re-laying out exact columns, their widths and visibility of them. That would be EXCELLENT!
