Description
Birthdaybook is a simple and very useful application which presents elegant reminders of all upcoming birthdays and other events according to a user defined date range. You can customize the way the reminders look including creating your own icons from iPhoto or a folder of images. You can select to show birthdays of famous people too, mostly artists, writers, musicians, and other historic notables. There are different international lists of famous birthdays which can also be added to the default list. Beautiful list-style calendars can be formatted and printed. Fully integrated with the Apple Contacts app and Calendar app to streamline data import and export. BirthdayBook is the king of all birthday reminders and enjoyed by thousands of users worldwide. It is translated in Italian, German, Danish, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Chinese.

BirthdayBook is a wonderful!
I never liked the little standard popup notifications the system shows and birthdayBook fills the void with it’s customizable colorful reminder window. I like the fact it shows all the birthdays and other events to occur in the next 10 days (you can change that range too) so there is warning to send cards to relatives in time . I also like that you can click on a birthday and send a message from there. Best of all it shows birthdays of famous people and one click brings up a web page about them.
I contacted the developer about an issue and he responded immediately with a fix. The reminders do show up every day or at a set times so the previous reviewer should contact the developer about that problem.

I've been using this little jewel of an app for a good many years, and have never been disappointed with its performance. Occasionally there is a little glitch here and there, but Mr. DuToit is quick to resdpond and with ample kindness.
Great app… but the reminder doesn’t work!
I’ve been using this app for a while and I love it! It truly makes remembering simple and easy. However, I set the reminder “Once a day at pre set time” at 12PM, but it never appears on that time, or ever. I have to manually open the app to see the list of birthdays that are coming up soon. If only the reminder worked flawlessly, I would deem this app to be perfect. Also, I think it would be more convenient for some people if this app allowed several reminder per day, at pre-set times. You guys should look into this matter!
