So you think Blackbox is hard eh? Have you ever tried playing with your eyes closed?
This update brings sonic interfaces to Blackbox. An entirely new dimension of clues and dynamic feedback that infuse new life into all 71 challenges. But this is about more than replacing the previous few sounds that I made with my mouth and laptop. Adding these new sonic interfaces, paired with careful haptic feedback, and countless accessibility enhancements means Blackbox is now accessible to almost everyone regardless of their needs. Did I mention the sounds are also just wicked cool?
So what’s a sonic interface? Well for the last year nearly 3.5 million people have played Blackbox solely using their eyes. For the over 258 million people worldwide with visual impairments, including blindness, the game was more or less a literal Blackbox. The sonic interfaces paired with Voice Over and haptic feedback create an entirely alternative interface for Blackbox that doesn’t require vision at all. So now, whether you use dynamic type sizing to read small text, text-to-speech to to hear content, or are fully blind you can enjoy the same loving suffering that is Blackbox.

Best app I have
I love this game it makes you think out side the box it leaves so little to hints to work with so it makes you feel great when you solve one all by your self. It also has you do things that you would not expect like one has you open an app on your phone. You have to pick the right app based on position. There's so many more cool puzzles like this I love it so much. I also love the snarky attitude of the dev throughout the game. All of these things together makes up a great little game. The only problem I have with it is the more puzzles I unlock the more lag I experience. The lag is mainly on entering and exiting puzzles not during so I can still play uninterrupted.
Wow
I was just looking through some section of the App Store (I believe I searched up "mind games" or something along those lines) when the game Blackbox came up. I watched the short preview and decided to give it a try. I love the small comedic element of the game and the fact that the developer seems like just another person within the game. It's challenging and fun and feels so rewarding when you complete a task. Somehow, I fell in love with this game. Although, at times, it can be a little laggy, and my phone will freeze up, the content and game itself is a lot of fun.
Are you sane?
Good. Because this game will fix that for you-fast. This is more than a game. It is a challenge of everything. Your wits, creativity, knowledge of your phone, patience - all will will be tested as the game literally takes you from high to low, from quiet to loud and everything in between. Every single one of my friends has lost patience and uninstalled it - but I am hooked. It's that good. Are you the type to give up or keep pushing through?
