New Meta Challenge!
Available to those who have proven themselves worthy with due time…
▶ Rock out: Fixed a certain strung out challenge. Turns out all it needed was a loving touch and an excessive amount of math.
▶ Stay still: Grid no longer snaps back to center after idling
▶ Tick-tock shock: Fixed a longstanding, rare issue that affected players using 12 hour clocks in regions that usually use 24 hour clocks. Seriously.
▶ More logical home grid swipe navigation. Swiping now moves through challenge types in a row-style, top-to-bottom manner that reflects the challenges’s spacial layout.
▶ Voice Over now keeps focus of the last selected grid item upon returning to home grid
▶ Voice Over now correctly announces the latest number of available hint credits
▶ Reduced Transparency and Increased Contrast modes now enhance several challenges
(Thank you everyone who took the time to report on these issues!)
My Favorite iOS Game!
Blackbox is my favorite game that is currently on my phone. It's innovative, challenging, and funny. I think that some of the levels are a little bit too difficult, for example the level where you have to go a certain distance to turn on each of the four lights. I would prefer it if the distance was not so far, because I drove about 54 miles (~1 hour 15 mins) and only reached the second light. The speed at which the distance indicator advances only gets slower as well. I also live at a fairly high elevation, and I have not even reached the first light yet on the erudite pack level in which you must increase your phone's elevation to turn on the lights. I understand that these levels are meant to be challenging, but many people don't have the funds to travel such long distances or to travel to where there are very high elevations. Other than those two levels, I have found this game very enjoyable (although frustrating at times) and I get excited every time I see a new meta challenge has come out. Thank you Mr. McLeod for this wonderful game!
Good, but has some annoying qualities
It's a fun game, I enjoy playing it. Though, I feel like there aren't that many free levels, at least not usable ones. Also, it seems like some of the levels just aren't fair such as the moon phases one. It has nothing to do with us creating ideas to solve it but instead waiting a month for the moon to do something. The last thing is that is seems like it's impossible to pass some of the levels unless u have all your friends download the game, so it wold kinda of impossible to play in the car or something when your alone. Those are the big things that bother me with the game.
Unique and Enjoyable
Blackbox has done a fantastic job in creating a puzzle game that is just confusing enough to keep players thinking. In addition to its unique way of integrating all the features of a phone to solve the puzzles. Would definitely recommend.
