Fun game - buy the in app purchase for even more fun

I learned about this game from the creator’s podcast No More Whoppers (which is worth a listen btw). Because it’s his first game I was expecting something amateurish and barely working, but by gum he really made something fun.

The basic concept seems to be to avoid enemy ships until you can launch a special move that will wipe them out. If I had to compare the game mechanic to something it would be a little like the gym battles in Pokémon Go where you jab jab jab as your special meter fills up.

It’s a good game for the commute - just start a game and rub your thumb all over the screen and see what happens.

I recommend everyone get the IAP which unlocks a more powerful ship. It kind of feels like cheating to use the much more powerful weapon that I paid for. But at the same time it takes me back to my middle and high school days of pc gaming when I was so crappy at Doom I had to keep the cheat codes on at all times.

Anyway this is great but I hope next time he’ll make a sick jrpg or point and click adventure game base on the NoMoWo expanded universe. Please make this happen!

Clever and challenging take on the shmup genre

It’s clear that this game was designed by someone who understands and appreciates what makes “carnival”style shmups addictive and fun to play. The style and design are top notch, the scoring system is accessible and fun to experiment with (hot tip: try using the gust side-shot while in hyper mode to boost your gust score), and the music is perfect. I can’t recommend this game enough!

Fun throw back to an old school style

I really enjoy this shooter. It reminds me so much of the types of games I played as a kid. It’s challenging, at least for me, but I find it all the more rewarding when I get to that next wave. It’s absolutely worth buying to support the developers. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
