"... one of the year’s best" ~ The New York Times
----- Overview -----
Blek is a unique game about imagination and personality. Everything you draw keeps moving – and watching your creations move is like watching magic.
The goal is simple: shape a line that collects all colored circles avoiding black holes on its route. There are no specific moves that you need to master. To every level countless solutions exist, from delightfully simple to exceptionally deep and complex, yet always elegant.

Elegant, minimalist puzzle game
Blek is probably the most enjoyable game on my phone - simple while still being interesting, well-crafted, and pretty. It consists of a series of nearly meditative spatial reasoning puzzles, with wildly varying difficulty levels. It's missing all the distracting fat of a lot of mobile games; you just get to play, without being bothered by ads or offered a menu of irrelevant add-ons (in fact, that's why I wrote this review, because it didn't interrupt me to ask for one every day). It's definitely worth the buy.
Fun then impossible!
Lots of fun at first, especially on the iPad, but once you're past the easier levels, trying to draw complex patterns while also getting timing right when hitting the spinning balls is more frustrating than fun. There is no way to tweak an attempt that was close but not quite right. You have to start over from the beginning. You'll probably "just miss" again, but in a slightly different way. The game is much more frustrating on my iPhone 5C. There isn't enough screen space to draw the patterns accurately. A stylus does help you draw your lines within us your hand blocking the view.
Blek is now my favorite app of all time. It stimulates your thinking and it's fun while doing it. Playing Blek gives me a certain calmness that lets me relax, but still enjoy being on my phone, I play it on the train, the bus, and on the rare occasions I let my friends play, it's hilarious to watch them struggle and squirm. It gets a little challenging at times but never something I can't figure out after a few minutes. ⭐️
