Customer Reviews

Good information but pushy ads

[Removed: This app gives you great business news but at a cost: It covers the entire screen with ads you didn't ask for.] When you click on a story, the ads are delayed from the content so that you inadvertently click on them while scrolling. [Removed: But I think it deliberately shows you full-screen ads when you haven't clicked on them. I just close the ad, sometimes before it's loaded, and continue reading.]

The content is great. There are many charts from the Bloomberg terminal ($$$) that you won't see elsewhere. However, many stories have a disclaimer that Bloomberg doesn't necessarily approve them. They seem as well written as the stories without the disclaimer, so I don't see why the disclaimer is needed.

July 4, 2016: One thing that's driving me crazy is the slow rotation of stories, perhaps because many reporters are on vacation. One story near the top is "For $13 Million You Can Live the Tuscan Life in Greenwich, Conn." I swear this story has been sitting here for two weeks and I just want it to go away. Update July 9: The Tuscan story disappeared for a couple of days but now it's back. I'm going to avoid the app for a week in the hope it just goes away.

Rated two stars due to the incessant full-screen ads and the stories that live forever.

Updated February 3, 2017. Increased from two stars to four stars.

Bloomberg -- this is rubbish -- listen your customers

After many years of producing the best mobile financial app Bloomberg decided, in their infinite wisdom, to completely revamp it in December 2016. It has since been through several 'fixes' which each time remove the reviews. However, for the record, the Dec update has attracted well over 1,000 negative 1-star reviews. Many said they would have given it zero stars if they could have. Reviewers said the same thing -- that overnight Bloomberg ruined the best mobile financial app - and begged to bring back the previous version.

Bloomberg -- listen to what your customers are telling you. This app is terrible, unusable and an embarrassment to you. Pls bring back the pre-December version which was a first-class mobile app and sorely missed by its devotees.

Yep, it's bad.

I tried to make it work for me, but am now searching for something else. I miss tracking from purchase price and can only track from what I enter on a Watchlist. The same watch lists don't match up between iPad and iPhone.
I'm a small investor and only use two watch lists. They limit the number of stocks. When you reach limit they direct you to a sales person for their full service program. Tried to drop one listing for another, but that doesn't work either.
I understand they are running a business but I used to be able to say good things about them. Sad.
Also, they now have me locked out of the old program. While the new app is pretty, it is more difficult to read due to the fine typeface they chose. Wish there was a choice for zero stars.
