Present your iCal calendar events and reminders right on your desktop with this stunning calendar viewer. Blotter renders your whole week as a part of your wallpaper. It is beautifully discreet yet only a glance away. Blotter also makes it a snap to add a new event or reminder to your calendar. Use the always present menu bar icon, or configure global keyboard shortcuts which work from within any application on your Mac.
Did you ever mark something in your calendar only to forget to check the calendar? No more. With your week right before you, you always know if you can make a meeting on Tuesday or if you’ll be able to go home early on Friday.
• Keep your existing calendar. Blotter will tie directly into your Mac OS X iCal calendar instead of recreating it.
• Quickly add a new event or a new reminder.
• Keep things snappy. Blotter uses very little memory and processing power.
• Optionally view the next 7 days instead of a regular week.
• Quickly customize what to display, what to hide and how much space to give each section.
Also works with Google Calendar. See our support site for more information.
Note that Blotter does not support calendar editing beyond adding events and reminders.

Same issues as everybidy else
Main issue is you cannot make it go away. I wanted a quick opaque calendar that I could bring to the front when I needed it then dissappear when I am done. Having it hang out on my desktop all the time is very distracting.
Customization options are kind of weird, cant minimize upper left corner without losing it. In preferences positioning it gives you sub squares you can move it to but then it doesnt fill those squares as depicted.
Bottom line…as other reviewers have said it needs an ‘invisible mode’ where it goes away by a keyboard shortcut when it is not wanted.
The latest update fixes the previous CPU hog bugs, giving Blotter its former ubiquitous-presence-which-stays-out-of-my-way glory.
Clean, useful, does what it says. Allows selection of which calendars to display. Visually pleasing.
Missing some bells and whistles, e.g. the ability to have a clock along with the date, but no big deal. Constant clock updates would probably make the CPU footprint larger...
Great app that works exactly as advertised. There are definitely a few things that would be nice to have: an invisible mode and an option to show locations on 30-minute events. Blotters are designed to show a lot of information (but not an overwhelming amount) at a glance. Locations for 30-minute meetings would go a long way towards filling that job.
