Play with blue light and feel better!
Blue Light Therapy App is intended to stimulate your brain with blue light. SupraChiasmatic Nucleus (SCN), a region of your brain receives information about the light that you see through your eyes and makes sleep/wake transition decisions.
I do not know if the app will work for you - when I play with it, I FEEL VERY GOOD!
HOW TO USE:
1)Hold the phone in your hand and touch the screen to create ripples of blue.
2)Start the app and set it to create ripples automatically. Put the phone next to your workstation where you can see the screen.
3) Optionally - turn on your Philips Hue programmable lights, and the app will change their color to blue/purple in response to your touches.
DO NOT USE AT NIGHT - this may confuse your biological clock and cause insomnia/longer time to fall asleep.
Please leave your FEEDBACK on the review page or the app's support website.

EASY AND FUN TO PLAY WITH!
Touch the screen to produce ripples. Move your finger to produce waves.
BLUE LIGHT THERAPY
Light therapy has been proposed for a variety of medical conditions, sometimes light is administered at a specific times, like early morning. This app uses low intensity light emitting diode lights, which are NOT EFFECTIVE FOR PSORIASIS!
Tired of looking at gloomy skies outside? Engage yourself in a splashy blue pool of light. Unlike any other light source, you can play with this interactive wallpaper.
SEASONAL AFFECTIVE DISORDER
Now you have a little piece of sky everywhere you go! Put this phone wallpaper next to your computer as you work and start the app. The ever-changing pattern of ripples will keep your brain from filtering out the light. Escape depression with an ever changing patterns of blue and white light therapy!
CIRCADIAN RHYTHM DISORDERS
Try this app after you wake up if you have a sleep disorder - blue light therapy has been shown to promote sleep/wake transition. The exact intensity and wavelength of such light is unknown. Maybe this app will shine just the right frequency to ask your brain to awaken itself!
WHATS THE CATCH?
Thank you for asking! I've developed this app for myself and like the results. I've read a lot about circadian rhythms and noninvasive ways to affect the brain. Light turns out is one of them!
I hope that this free app would help some people deal with yet another year of Seasonal Affective Disorder, but please understand that 200 lumen, white-light based backlight of iPhone may not produce the same results as 350-10000lumen dedicated light box
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
What's New in Version 1.4
Fixed Philips Hue not connecting - toggle the "Use Hue" switch on/off to show setup screen
Removed the need for a camera permission to setup the screen.
Great idea (particularly w/Hue)
Just downloaded the app. Haven't used it yet but...am getting bathroom redone which I intend to deck out with Philips Hue bulbs.
That is where this app comes into the picture.
I live somewhere in The Great White North where the winters are very dark, cold and long. Seasonal Affective Disorder can be a real issue. Also, I have NO time to sit for a half hour in front of a light box but, while getting ready for work in bathroom I DO have time to use this app to suffuse myself with blue light, hopefully to salutary effect. That's the plan.
I do wish there was some way to contact the developer Alexander Stone to ask about the product(s), thank him for his hard work and dedication and perhaps make a donation so he can continue his helpful work.
Great with Philips Hue
Thanks for making this work with Philips Hue. I love it! I had to slide the Hue on/off switch back and forth a dozen times before the configuration screen opened. But then it has been working great once configured. It's nice to have running in the auto mode with Hue lights. Maybe have a separate icon to get to the config so it's easier to setup? Thanks for posting!
Won't display Phillips Hue Lights
It works alright on my iPod but won't find the different Phillips Hue Lights, which I really wanted.
