* Spot any Boat or Ship via real-time AIS network
* See the Name, Type and Destination of each vessel
* Set any boat as a favorite, and track it on the map
* Search and find boats and places
Optional One-time In-App Upgrade Purchase adds...
* Full boat information - picture, speed, where its from, etc.
* Show track for boat's journey

Boat Watch now gives you the option to buy official NOAA nautical charts for the US, so you get the same view of the ocean as the ship's navigator. See the shipping channels, buoys, lights and hazards and why a ship is taking a particular route.
Boat Watch is a Universal app, which works on iPhone, iPod and iPad.
Our ship coverage is global and amongst the best in the world. You can find out how our system works and check our coverage here :-
NOT FOR NAVIGATION
Boat Watch should only be used for basic navigation reference and should not be solely relied upon to determine precise locations, proximity, distance, or direction.
What's New in Version 1.40
New style of boat info display.
Tracks shown for selected boat (after Pro upgrade)
NOAA charts available as in-app purchase option.
This app used to work. Now it's showing about 4 boats in all of Connecticut. Only one in Newport! It's July. There are more -- I'm sure of it. Perhaps they "fixed" this version now that they have a Pro version available for $7.99!!!!! Thanks for nothing.
Pay for features that used to be free
This is a fun app for those of us who enjoy Brooklyn Bridge Park and similar places dense with boats. Less fun is the way info about the boats used to be free but now costs $5.
Nice but not as good as some
It lacked AIS reports for many ships in rivers I visited. Private luxury craft were missing as well as Tugs along Southeast US ICW. Other free AIS apps did show.
