Great alternative to lesser bus services
I have used bolt for a few years now, and I have to say, it is by far my favorite way to travel. I have only travelled between LA and SF, so I can only speak for that particular route, but let me tell you, they are ALWAYS on time, friendly, and courteous. I like how they arrange the boarding by letter and number, it feels organized and thought out. The outlets have worked 99% of the time, and so does the wifi. The seats are comfortable and the space is decent. As far as the app is concerned, I do enjoy it. I wish there was a way to reset my billing address though so I don't have to keep retyping it in(I have since moved from the address they keep autofilling). Anyway, I recommend boltbus to all my friends and family, and would suggest it to you too!
DOWNGRADE - New app is terrible
The old app wasn’t the prettiest app out there, but at least it was useful. This app is a mess. There are screens that don’t even fit. Like it trying to load a web page in a window that’s too small. This is not a REAL app. It’s just a bad website trying to disguise itself as an app. If you go to website on a phone it looks exactly the same.
You used to be able to do things on the app in a smart way like logging in easily. Not anymore. This new app is so frustrating to use. And you used to be able to access My Trips easily and that’s gone. WHY would you take away useful functionality and make it harder for people to use. This name NO sense and this “upgrade”, which is honestly just a downgrade, is very disappointing. Now I have to delete the app because it’s useless and takes forever to do anything.
This was simply a bad move. I suggest going back to the old app until you can find someone who knows how to make an app to make a good one for you.

I have been riding bultbus for going on five years now and I haven't had an issue with anything until this dreadful new update to the bultbus app (the mobile website is not any better). Not only did I grow a beard in the amount of time it took for new pages to load, but I also had to close the app server times when it decided to take a break not loading anything but a blank white screen. Finally, after what seems like a technological battle I type in my CC info and press submit. I think all is going to go well, this we a silly thought, when it fails to load the confirmation screen!
It accepted my payment, sending me an email to let me know; however, when I opened the email to download the tickets it would not scroll past the first ticket.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
