Cut the crap!
Sleek, simple, effective, and economical, both Boom! 909 and Boom! 808 are worthy of more attention and praise. Some may argue that there is nothing groundbreaking here, but that's what makes the Boom! drum machines so great. They are simply fantastic for quickly sketching out simple (or complex) beats for song structures and demos, and there is no learning curve hindering your creativity. Here's hoping we will see Boom! 606 and/or 707 in the near future :)
Sure, it's not gonna sound exactly like a 909, but it gives you a flavor of the 909 in a streamlined, easy to use interface. It's really easy to program and I love the pattern chaining feature on it. Plus it doesn't crash... Even on my iPad 2. I'm really happy with it!
Horrible 909 sounds but nice design & function
Nice design and function on the Boom! 808 & 909 but the sound of this 909 is terrible. It's as though the sounds are always a bit "fuzzy" and not in a good way...(yes I know there is a distortion built in) the sounds do not have any punch whatsoever which is the character of a real 909 or even a good sample set. I hope they redesign the sound engine or something as the app design and function is really nice and fast to get around.
