No that easy to do wireless set-up
The interface and instructions could be clearer- you will get it set-up and it will eventually work but it’s because you persevered not because it helped you.
One simple fix would be to make the images more representational in the device pull down menu for the wireless set-up, they show tiny 5 pixel images of only part of the machine, I had to do it 4 times before I realized what the images showed- and I’m a designer that (supposedly) pays attention to that stuff.
Don’t flake out on us B&W- this thing sounds great and should last a long time, don’t hamper us with lousy updates and interface!!
Works when it feels like it, which is not that often.
For such an expensive system, this app barely works. Any random $30 Bluetooth speaker on the market works better than this app. It cuts out all the time. I love B&W but they really failed here. I constantly have to reconfigure my devices. It takes forever to sync. Sometimes while listening the light just blinks purple on and off and stops working. So sad, there are times when I want to punt the zeppelin like a football and put it out of its misery.
Why does this device need an app to sync? I should just open Bluetooth on my phone and connect . It is unacceptable for this device to work this poorly when considering the price.
B&W great hardware, rotten software
Edit: to the reviewer that says "just follow the instructions and it's fine" - that's nonsense. The setup failed this morning 3 times. And btw, I spent my entire career in Silicon Valley doing software and networking.
I'm a big B&W fan - have had a set of 801s and 803s etc. I purchased the original zeppelin. The software was terrible. That unit died and I got a newer air (lighting). The software's still bad: control app rarely completes setup for wifi. The Ethernet set is clunky and continuously drops off the network. I doubt I'll ever purchase a B&W product again if it relays on any software. The software guys must be way down the pecking order at B&W.
