A VoiceOver compatible app that allows users who are blind to look up those many times hard to remember Braille symbols and contractions. Users have the option to search for more than 250 Braille symbols and contractions. You can either search by a letter (ex. a or about) or by dots/contraction (ex. 1 or ab).
This app is ideal for users who either are learning Braille or are an infrequent Braille user who often forget those obscure symbols while on the go!

I don't know who did the Braille for this app but I am a Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired so knowing Braille is my job. I downloaded this app as a handy study guide for my upcoming comprehensive exams. I have used it a couple of times and found multiple errors. In some instances, they are listing the right Braille then showing the wrong dot formations. If you want to learn Braille, that's kind of a big deal! They also have not categorized the contractions correctly. I could live with that, but for a new learner using the right categories would make Braille easier to learn. Because it is riddled with errors, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP AND I WANT MY DOLLAR BACK! To the developers: If you are going to charge people for a Braille reference app, get a real TVI or Braille transcriber to make sure it's actually accurate!!!!! I want a refund!
I bought this despite the other reviews thinking that perhaps it had been improved. Apparently it has not. I thought since the picture clearly shows "by dots" I would have thought that meant it would SHOW the dots.
I thought it would actually depict the Braille cells and not just tell you the dots for letters, contractions, etc. I wanted to use it as a visual study aid.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
