How to get started?
Easy! Just click on the lion head and discover Brave Shields, which have per-site settings so you can decide which sites to block.
We have a mission to save the web by increasing browsing speed and safety for users, while growing ad revenue share for content creators.
The web has become a different place. With the ad-tech ecosystem out of control, users have revolted and blocking ads has become the new weapon of choice for improving their browsing speed, safety and privacy. Unfortunately, blocking alone results in a race to the bottom where nobody wins. Without the ability for content creators to earn money for their efforts, users could be left with fewer sites to browse, relegated to hand-picked content from controlled sources.
Brave aims to transform the online ad ecosystem with micropayments and a new revenue-sharing solution to give users and publishers a better deal, where fast, safe browsing is the path to a brighter future for the open web.

Great app, needs some features.
Brave is awesome. I use it whatever I can to browse the web on my iPhone, and it provides a smooth, user-friendly experience. However, I could use a few features to make life a little easier. For example, when I launch press a link in other apps, there is an option to “open in chrome.“ If the developers of Brave could add an “open in Brave“ feature, that would make the app 10 times better. I don’t mind copying and pasting links into the browser, but being able to press one button to open the link in Brave would be so much nicer.
This browser is awesome
Phuk google and apple for selling our data. I love how this app stands up for the average joe. I will continue to use and support it for this reason even if there are minor glitches because glitches get fixed, raping the average user' privacy doesnt get fixed with all the other major companies. What a breath of fresh air this app is. Go Brave. I see no more ads! My browsing experience is faster and amazing. I feel like an internet virgin again haha
Pretty good, but has a major fingerprinting flaw
I’m pretty impressed with how Brave blocks tracking and ads, but it isn’t very good at blocking fingerprinting. According to tests run on the EFF’s Panopticlick tracking tester, a major amount (as high as 19 bits of identifying information) is leaked by the very detailed user agent string used by Brave. If Brave either had a much less common user agent string by default, or allowed you to modify it, it would greatly decrease fingerprinting potential. As it is, only one in ~300,000 browsers have the same fingerprint as my instance of Brave. Is this planned on being changed by the developer?
