Brave Web Browser is a fast, free, secure web browser for iOS with a built-in AdBlocker, tracking and security protection, and optimized data and battery experience.
Brave is designed with a built-in AdBlocker to provide an ad-free and seamless browsing experience.
FAST & SECURE
No external plugins or settings to manage or configure! Brave simply provides the fastest and most secure browsing experience available for iOS. Brave is designed for both speed and security, so you can enjoy lightning fast browsing without popups, malware and other annoyances.
BATTERY & DATA OPTIMIZATION
Brave reduces page loading time, improves performance, and guards from ads infected with malware. Brave shows a 2x to 4x speed increase on iOS, so you will see a direct reduction in both battery and data plan consumption.
Brave also protects users with leading privacy and security features such as HTTPS Everywhere (encrypted data traffic), script blocking, 3rd party cookie blocking, and private incognito tabs.
Brave for iOS has the following features:
* Built-in AdBlocker
* Blocks pop-ups
* Battery optimization
* Data optimization
* Tracking Protection
* Https Everywhere (for security)
* Script Blocking
* 3rd party cookie blocking
* Private tabs
* Recent tabs
How to get started?
Easy! Just click on the lion head and discover Brave Shields, which have per-site settings so you can decide which sites to block.
We have a mission to save the web by increasing browsing speed and safety for users, while growing ad revenue share for content creators.
The web has become a different place. With the ad-tech ecosystem out of control, users have revolted and blocking ads has become the new weapon of choice for improving their browsing speed, safety and privacy. Unfortunately, blocking alone results in a race to the bottom where nobody wins. Without the ability for content creators to earn money for their efforts, users could be left with fewer sites to browse, relegated to hand-picked content from controlled sources.
Brave aims to transform the online ad ecosystem with micropayments and a new revenue-sharing solution to give users and publishers a better deal, where fast, safe browsing is the path to a brighter future for the open web.

Despite finding the UI clunky, I gave Brave a solid 2 week try, but I cannot stand it anymore. Brave *constantly* loses my tabs between closes, crashes, and even while it's still active. It crashes often, has UI glitches out the wazoo (scrolling a page while it's loading breaks the page and I have to refresh, sometimes the URL bar gets moved above the view and is unclickable), and it doesn't support bookmarklets. Also doesn't support IOS content blockers (I know it says it has its own, but Brave provides no control or visibility into its ad blocker, whereas with a content blocker such as 1Blocker I can customize it to a large degree).
I also dislike the lack of control in the settings, such as visibility into the HTTPSEverywhere rules (add the ability to add custom rules please), or what "fingerprint tracking" includes (btw Brave fails the Panopticlick fingerprinting test, even with this setting on).
Finally it's just overall slower than Safari, and sometimes refuses to load any pages at all until I clear all private data (just restarting doesn't fix this).
I love the idea of Brave, but the app is just too buggy and annoying to continue using it at this time. If nothing else Brave team: please fix the flakiness in remembering open tabs.
This browser has so many quirks that annoy me. I try to keep it around, but today I finally deleted it: what pushed me over the edge is this browser's failure to provide the option to turn off its predictive URL prefilling. Type in h, and it prefills huffingtonpost. Fine, but as i keep typing, it totally ignores the rest of my entries. I finf I have to stop, and reput the focus in the URL field in order to get its attention and start listening to my typing. Wasted many mins figuring this annoying behavior out, instead of going to the sites I wanted to get to. Worst yet, no option to have it stop this behavior. It's almost as if such behaviors are by design, to peddle traffic to the likes of huffingtonpost. Bravo, Brave! You made me type out this review on the phone keyboard I loath so much, because you have made me loath you even more!
I am totally blind, and have a mini IPad 4. This browser works well with voiceover. However, one thing I have noticed is when I hit play on a video, sometimes I have to push the button more than once. I use a bluetooth keyboard, so whenever I hit the play/pause button on it, instead of pausing my video, it starts playing my music. Also, where is the reading list???? If I add something to the reading list on Firefox, I can actually find my reading list there. If I add something to reading list on Brave, even though it's added, I see no way to look at my reading list. All I can find is bookmarks, and history. So pleeeeeease fix these particular things??? Love it otherwise.
