Description

Brilliance brings the outside world into your home through Philips Hue lights. Set your location, choose what kind of lighting you want: sunlight, weather-based, urban lighting, northern lights, and more, set a schedule to turn the lights on and off, then sit back and enjoy your lights without having to fiddle with an app or dimmers.

* Keep Hue lights in sync with any place in the real world
* Realistic lighting model that mirrors the outside world
* Plays well with other apps and controllers

NOTE: This app requires a Philips Hue bridge on the same local network as the computer running this app.

Not Stable Enough

I really really wanted to like this app. The problem that I keep running into is that while it does actually work, it does automatically connect to your lights when the app opens, and it does actually control the lights, that’s where the good news ends. You’re, or rather I, was unable to do anything past that. Trying to access the preference’s panel, the little gear in the upper left corner, I was hoping to control which lights would be on or off, and their intensity. The problem is that every time I click on that icon the entire program crashes and shuts down. I’ve tried multiple times, with a computer restart and without - every time I get the same result. If they could fix that this app would be great. Till then, only giving it 2 stars for very basic functionality.

Great Idea, utterly unfinished...

I have a hue hub, with several hue bulbs, plus an Osram Lightfy switchable outlet. The app does not allow me to exempt that outlet, so with every adjustment of the lights, the outlet is turned on, and with the lights being turned off, the outlet is turned off. This makes the app essentially unusable, as this outlet has nothing to do with the lights.

Also, on the picture, it shows a "Nearby Lights" and "Cosmos" setting, which in the app, as downloaded and installed, is completely missing.

Also, the max./min brightness can't be adjusted, so even if the color temperature moves with the sun, that doesn't mean I want the lights to be fully bright or dim in all locations.

I've sent feedback to the developer, but zero answer.

So, as much as I'd love this app, would it work properly, as much do I hate it now, because in essence, it's but a tease that doesn't work.

Crashes every time you try to open preferences.

Good idea and I wanted to try it out since IF it worked it would do exactly what I wanted - a "flux" type app to control lights to gradually go into the reds at night. Unfortunately because it crashes when you open settings, there seems to be no way to control WHICH lights get dimmed so it's all or nothing.

Would really love if the developer would finish / update this app!
