The Usual HORRID BA Experience
If I had another option non-stop from Boston to London, I'd never fly this airline again. Never once had a good experience. This app is no exception. Made a reservation through a travel agent, so the flight doesn't show and there's no way to add it. You just have to let the app search for your flight without being able to enter any criteria. If it doesn't find it, you're out of luck. Most airlines allow you to enter your route or booking reference/reservation ID, allowing them to locate your record. Beyond irritating, and yet another example of the "we know what's best for you" superiority complex this decidedly inferior airline has.
Took me most of a Gatwick Express ride and 35% of my battery to check into my flight — something that more civilized apps allow typically one to do in less than a minute.
I had to read forum threads from 2011 when the app kept rejecting my booking reference, to find that the correct course of action is to log out, force quit, log back in. Obviously the app developers haven't bothered to fix this since at least 2011.
After that it was just dozens of glitches, errors, and poor UX. Input boxes not starting with a capital letter, errors saying my data couldn't be saved, etc. horrible experience.
Huge issues with Iberia bookings
It's unbelievable that after years of London - Madrid flights this app still does not work properly in finding the bookings most of the time. Please fix!!! Customers should not have to make a PhD to check in online in this app. And any booking reference from any of the 2 companies (BA or Iberia) should work! At least on the LHR MAD route, which is the most common.
