You can also check remaining level of supplies.

You can view various information about your product supplies.
You can order supplies on-line, check genuine, recycle information, and so on.

You can view contact to Brother customer service.
Device Status/Information:
You can view your product network status, serial number, and remaining amount of supplies.
User Setting:
You can check or change the country and language setting.
QR Code Reader:
You can scan QR and Data Matrix codes assigned to Brother products or manuals to obtain more information.

Self-serving when could help...
The app does nothing of real value in controlling and managing the printer. You can do setup and get quick links to their website - many times not even to the page with your specific printer even though it had recognized my device over wifi.
A great example was i'm very low on toner. Did it tell me how many pages I should expect? No. When I clicked the supplies, did it take mine to my toner? No.
What I really want is to be able to manage all of the menu properties through the app. Seems pretty easy to me.
