Ratings and Reviews
I have already created an account and profile with the Browsery app over three weeks ago. I used the app every single day since then. I logged off the app for the first time this morning and attempted to log back in. Instead of giving me the option to enter my email and password when opening the app, the app is prompting me to set up the app as if I don’t already have a Browsery profile.
What the heck?? Did your servers not save my profile? Were your engineers not anticipating that users would actually log off the app at any time?
Fix this! I will NOT set up a second profile. Fix this or I’ll never use the app again. Seeing how that there is very little participation from users within the app, it is to Barnes & Noble’s best interest to fix the app for the handful of people who actually use it.
Discover new reads!
Browsery’s deceptively simple interface restores a much-needed human element to shopping for books online. I’ve been surprised how rapidly and effectively community members answer specific questions, like my requests books about Quebecois history and wolf behavior. The best feature is that so many answers come with a comment explaining the relevance of the book suggested to what you asked; unlike Amazon’s, these recommendations are actually personal and help you prioritize among the suggestions. You can easily save titles of interest to a reading list.
Very fun for bibliophiles like me!
Very much enjoying this app! One small complaint is there is a glitch that causes the questions to be reshuffled randomly, so you’re constantly seeing the same questions over and over. I also wish you could select a specific edition of a book you’re using for an answer. The default is always the most recently released edition.
Other than that this app is fun and I’m finding lots of new books to add to my list!
