Delightful giggles while playing!

I'm really late to the party on this one! I actually remember when it released in 2012 and judged it as a child's game just based on a quick look at the screen shots and, I'm embarrassed to admit, my dislike of the title. Zoom forward 3 years and it comes up on sale for Easter and I decided to give it a try. Haven't stopped playing it and thoroughly enjoying it since yesterday! The dialogue is so entertaining and enjoyable; I have actually found myself laughing out loud! The people doing the voiceovers actually stay in character and don't sound like they are reading script. It's engaging enuff that I find myself wanting to finish the hidden object quests so I can hear the rest of the story! Keep in mind tho that this was developed 3 years ago so it is a fairly basic HO game. I would love to see what the developers would come up with in a sequel with the current HO/Adventure expectations and their engaging storyline and dialog abilities.

Fine, but forgettable.

Good length, 5 - 7 hours of play in full game. Doesn't take itself too seriously, but some jokey references fall short because of awkward phrasing (translation?). Limited minigames. Why even have ranking\experience if it ultimately has no effect on game play (you either succeed or fail)? Hints mandatory because of occasionally ridiculously tiny dark items, companion shtick actually makes this ok (hate games with useless companions). A little boring in spots, both because the only tasks were of the "find x number of x" variety and the lack of depth -- no puzzles at all, and no multi-layered task chains.

Could use a move hotspot show (couldn't find them sometimes) and disable (annoying to switch screens when trying to zoom). Story was cute at first but ultimately confusing and the ending was disappointing and didn't seem well-supported. Don't regret the purchase to occupy a couple of sick days, but prefer moodier, more intricate HOGs in general.

If you like HO games buy it, if you like adventure, don't

For an adventure game, it's cute. I did enjoy the visuals and the characters. It's cool that it is different than a regular HO game in the sense you don't just get a list of what you have to find, they are instead set in tasks integrated in the story and all over the place (instead of a "scene). Most of the objects and everything are really tiny - you can zoom, but it still was hard to look at for me. The other irritating thing is it is very easy while you are zoomed in to tap on a door and you back out. That is annoying.

If there were elements of adventure here (i.e. actually thinking) I would buy it, but with just HO and mini games, it's not for me. I was bored and not even done with the first chapter.

Again, I do think that if you like HO games you will enjoy this, I just prefer Big Fish games that are more of the adventure/figure out what to do style. This is definitely not that type of game.
