"Bubble Nervous is a solid puzzle game that is both enjoyable and
addictive. What was especially remarkable was the fact that each color
of the bubbles had their own emotion. It’s clear the designers at
Vetasoft knew what they were doing." -Gamer Syndrome
Fun Stack-3 Game
The object is to make matches of three balls, by matching colors, or by using various special balls. The control scheme is different, and looks cool; you drop the ball by controlling the professor's arm, and moving it back and forth. The upcoming colors are held in the professor's other hand. You can change the order of the balls before dropping them.
The game is easy to pick up, but it is challenging. For fans of the Match-3 genre, this is a great pick-up-and-play game. Animation is smooth, and the controls are responsive. Grab it now while it's at the bargain price of a buck ! Nice job by the devs on this one.
Bubble Panic Escapes the Curse
There is a curse in gaming. I call it the Bejeweled curse. Every company has tried its hand at creating games that play on the idea of match three or more and watch the items disappear. Whether it is fruit, shapes or colors, we have been inundated with apps promising to be the next big concept in this genre. I was fortunate to try my hands at Bubble Panic, which could easily be renamed as Bubble Panic or How one game got its way to the dock. Let me go through the good to give potential purchasers an idea of what they will be receiving.
The good is that the purchaser receives an enormously packed puzzle game. You are greeted with vector images that bounce right out of the screen and bring the viewer deep into the game. There is no lack of design ingenuity in this game. From the "bubbles" to the illustrated background which motions with the player, this game features the ingredients of a great looking app but there is more. A game can be stylish but feature no in creative prowess that most of us gamers appreciate and desire. Bubble Panic takes the idea of drop items and make matches to a new vision. I was worried that the game would adopt a tilt the ipad left and right concept for its controls which seems to be hit or miss among the gaming community. The controls are intuitive and feel natural in use. Music and sound also plays a great part in making this game what it is. I especially think they nailed the sound on the actual game for the effects of disappearing bubbles.
I really appreciate the variety of game types which goes against the flow with a good chunk of games by making the modes unlockable by actually playing through the game. I found myself desiring to dig deeper into the game to gain acess to other zones.
Bravo team for your first game and I think if this is just a taste of your art/coding/music team as well as creative mindset then I am a fan.
