Whether you are a bio-hacker or just concerned about your health, Bulletproof Food Detective assists you in your quest for peak performance and a healthier life.
Bulletproof Food Detective has two main components:
•Food Sensitivity Test
•Relaxing Breath Pacer
Inflammation is an innate response to injury, stress, or illness, poor gut function or eating toxic foods (high-toxin, high-sugar, high-processed, high-gluten, etc.) and induces an inflammatory response. When this response becomes the norm for your body, it becomes a low-level feature in your physiology and problems arise.
It turns out that inflammation is the common link between cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity in developed nations and thus should be reduced by whatever means available.
Bulletproof Food Detective provides a tool for detecting food sensitivities that may contribute to low level inflammation. If you are sensitive to certain foods, you may not experience symptoms, though your body reacts by elevating your heart rate after eating an offending food. The food sensitivity feature will detect this elevation in heart rate which can occur anytime up to 1 ½ hours after eating an offending food.
Using a compatible heart monitor or manual entry, Food Sense monitors your pulse three times after eating and assigns either a red “X” (sensitive) or a green checkmark (not sensitive).
The Bulletproof Food Detective has a Relax screen that features a breath pacer to help you balance your nervous system. By exhaling at 2 times the length of your inhale, you can dampen the effects of the “fight or flight” response and enhance the “rest and repair” response of your nervous system.
The Bulletproof Food Detective Relax screen has a breath pacer that prompts you to inhale and exhale at this 1:2 ratio to restore balance to your day.

Why so many negatives
First off idk why people are complaining about measuring your heart rate. You could manually input what your smart watch reads to you, or it times 60 seconds so you could count your hr yourself. I like the app and think it's a really good addition to the whole bulletproof lifestyle. It's simple to use and it doesn't matter if it's not programmed like a billion dollar application. It does what it does and it's so beneficial in measuring your food sensitivity. Especially if you can't afford the test at a nutritionists or specialists office. I actually got an alcat test (1,000k after insurance) and I know the main foods my body is severely and moderately intolerant to. I'm comparing those results with this app and so far it's been really helpful in telling me how much each specific food stresses my body. It would be cool to have a bulletproof app that does more , but there's a website that's full of so much info and support.
I just have to say that I agree with everyone else. The Bulletproof Diet book was great but this app was not as described in the book and just plain sad. The graphics could use some work and feel way too busy and there's no reason the app cannot use other sources for heart rate measurement like the phone's camera or a smart watch. I hope they invest some time improving this because it's just bad form to sell something of this low quality in the book. It makes me question the rest of the products' integrity.
Waste of my time BUT Good needed concept for Pulse allergy testing
Good concept. Bad and a waste of my time. Willing to buy tracking monitor willing to upgrade willing to buy additional supporting APP. BUT GUESS WHAT? Not available on from Apple iTunes in the US!
Additional comment who designed the manual input? When I am inserting info from other manual sources why should I have to wait for one minute each time I want to add info or wait to add info 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes?
Don’t really expect anybody to answer my question or concerns.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
