Electrode Pistol Leads to Slow Death
I really enjoy this game, but recently had an experience that spurred me to write this review.
Fighting wild zombies, I picked up an Electrode Pistol. I equipped it and continued to my destination. Fighting the next set of enemies, my character did nothing. It was relatively weak enemies, and I had to just let the game sit open as the thin zombies hit me, taking off 1 HP at a time, until I finally died.
At least I was only 29 days into this play through - although I had three neighbors with friendship levels of 4.5 or 5 - but it is really frustrating to have my game thrown away because I equipped a special weapon. Not to mention having to just sit and wait to die
Great start, needs work though
First off, great game, simple to learn, and very immersive. It's a fine addition to the survivalist gaming genre.
However, aside from the hunger, sickness, and morale levels dropping too fast, the game lacks replay value. It starts off the same way every time, and the experience is pretty much the same from game to game.
Also, I think the developers should create a demo version to get people hooked, then charge $5-10 for a full version game where a player can WORK to unlock the upgraded backpack, boots, canine, characters, etc., versus having to buy every single upgrade a la carte.
I bought the game, the dog, the backpack, then played the game for a few hours and got bored. As it is now, not worth $2.97. Hope this helps.
This game is excellent. It would be interesting to see food be easier to find but the game is extremely realistic. If at all possible, I also think having the ability to form a survivor group and assign/perform roles would be nice as well. Thank you!
