Gives you almost no control. Well unless you decide to keep buying and feeding it credits. It's easy to sum up why this app is pointless and I'd go with pretty much any alternative one at all... Why would you want this one when it forks you over a number, first one and only the first "burner" number, for free with the small amount of minutes / texts etc.. (not a lot but comparable to the amount others give you) but expires in a week.. means it 'burns' the # in a week and you forfeit anything unused unless u extend it. You'd keep paying to keep the # for a few more days and/or more time but any app u can do that but it's up to u when and if u want to delete the number. Download any other similar type of app. If you want to delete it in a half hour u could if u want to keep it a month or so u could without having to keep on top of it continuously extending it and most annoyingly paying to do so. If u forget they just delete it on u or don't want to keep forking out $ then they take it from u and even if u pay and don't use it keep on it or u lose this app just wants their numbers right back and makes u use the min/texts/etc u have immediately or snatch. Just pointless seriously. U have no control. If I'd need to add paid minutes I'd do it with any other app bc I can keep what I paid for if I didn't use them all immediately. Just not right. Deleting this one
This app most certainly has a serious privacy gap and/or the makers of the app are actively exploiting users' data. I tried this app for a couple of days, and almost immediately after I began to use it, I started to get many incoming calls on my actual phone number from random numbers around the country. But these were no telemarketing or wrong number phone calls - they were calls from legitimate people and businesses from around the nation who would have no clue that they had called me when I return their calls (and I would be routed through third party services like Google Voice when trying to call many of these numbers back). It would seem as if my phone number was somehow being used to route burner calls for other users of this app. The problem has continued since deleting the app, and I am receiving these bizarre phone calls at all hours of the day and night, often waking me up or disturbing me during the workday. I am extremely upset about this.
Good app, but some problems
The app overall works flawlessly, but one problem I have is having to pay for the numbers. Call me cheap, but I don't think you should have to pay for privacy. I understand they have to cover costs, but advertising is a thing too. They could put ads into the app, and make a pro version without ads or something along those lines. You get one free burner, then you gotta start forking over money. Anyways, the app does work as intended, and I recommend it if you want a free phone for a few days.
