Do you live in or near Washington, DC and ride Metro bus, rail, the Circulator, or the streetcar? Then this app is for you!
Find the nearest Metro bus, rail, Circulator, or streetcar stops, when the next bus or train is arriving, and where each route will take you -- all in real time. Plan your trip with built-in transit directions, save your favorite stops for easy access, or search for route maps by name. All with a beautiful interface and lightning quick responsiveness.
It's a joy to use. Green pins on the map are bus stops. Red pins are rail. And purple is the Circulator and the streetcar. Tap a pin to view arrival predictions for that stop. Then, tap the star icon to save to favorites or tap each line to view a route map, so you know where you're going. Use the tabs at the bottom to view the map, favorites, plan trips with transit directions, or view a list of all routes and route maps.
I take the bus and train to work and I made this after my favorite app stopped working. I hope you find it as useful as I do!
Note: If you encounter any problems or bugs -- stops don't work, lines are wrong, etc... -- or if you want to help me make this app better, go to http://bustrackdc.com/#support for ways to get in touch or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Small bug fix to re-enable circulator stops!

Works well for daily commute
Very handy since I can save “favorite” bus stops and quickly see all the buses that are on the way. However, the app does not handle switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections well, especially if you switch while the app is opening or downloading data.

Hi there, thanks for the edit -- if you have a freezing bug again, please let me know what phone version and iOS version you're using and I can see about reproducing it. So far I haven't been able to on my test devices. As for times, those come directly from WMATA, and are the same times that every app uses, so I don't have a lot of control over those unfortunately.
Just what I needed!
For some reason, it's really hard to find a free DC bus tracking app that includes the Circulator. This app does the job beautifully! I've only had it a couple weeks but it's already saved me from missing a couple buses. Highly recommend.
As of Fall 2018, nearly unusable
Developers do not seem to have released an update for a year now, which could explain why the accuracy has dwindled to a point where it is more a coincidence if a bus shows up at the appointed time than anything predicted by the app. This used to be powerful and a very valuable app in my daily routine but no longer — please, developers, come back! (I am willing to pay for a reliable tracker.)

Hi there, unfortunately the data is provided directly from WMATA, it doesn't really have anything to do with this app or how often it's updated. I still get accurate results on my routes, but of course experiences may vary. I'm happy to pass along specific complaints to them if you reach out to me at email@example.com.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
